Relaxing in the picturesque garden or enjoying a glass of bubbly by the pool with spectacular views over the lagoon.
This is no fantasy!
The lodge is conveniently located right in the heart of South Africa’s famous Garden Route.
A single days‘ stay does not allow enough time to fully explore the surrounding beauty and activities on offer.
Here we enjoy the undivided attention of our host, where the well-equipped accommodation offers tranquillity and allows for well-deserved recuperation after a long day’s journey.
Jana and Steffen are always ready to attend to our every need and speak English, German, Czech and Slovakian.
In the morning we are spoiled with a generous breakfast which can be enjoyed out on the patio overlooking fantastic views onto the lagoon, garden and pond.
Fresh seasonal fruit, cold meats, cheese, fresh smoothies, quality coffee as well as a large selection of various teas. The “fish eagle-omelette“, available in a number of variations, is simply sensational.
Knysna is nestled in lush landscapes and natural beauty along a massive lagoon. The Knysna heads which form the mouth of the lagoon are flanked on either side by extensive white sandy beaches which are pounded by the Indian Ocean surf.
The town offers everything the heart desires: perfect infrastructure, international cuisine, a wide variety of shopping opportunities as well as excellent medical care. It has nevertheless managed to preserve its traditional small town charm.
Whether you are stopping by on your journey through the Garden Route, or simpy plan on spending a few days in the area, accommodation in the Fish eagle lodge B&B is always the ideal choice. Located in close proximity to all tourist attractions, yet positioned in a serene environment upon a hill with breath-taking views over the lagoon, this bed and breakfast lodge is an oasis of peace.
Places such as Oudtshoorn and Swartberg pass, Tsitzikama National Park, George, Great Karoo, and the ADDO National Park are easily accessible from the Fish eagle Lodge B&B.
When it comes to entertainment there is something for everybody – fantastic golf courses for golfers, beautiful sandy beaches for swimmers as well as forests and mountains for hiking, mountain biking and running, not to mention many motorcycle enthusiasts which frequent the town.
Return to the lodge after a long day out and about and enjoy a traditional South African Braai or a good glass of wine from the Cape Winelands, together with other guests at the bar.

“I am well acquainted with the stress of city living from my own experience. The hands of the clock tick over much slower in South Africa and the people are full of joy. You too can unwind in our garden with fabulous views of the lagoon and breath-taking surroundings of the Garden Route. Believe me this is no pipe dream!“

“It is said that Africa is addictive. I have experienced it myself, hence my motto ‘Carpe Diem‘. I would love for you to be able to take a small slice of this feeling back home with you from our lodge“.
